About Me
Hi, I’m J.R. Brabson, and I write short stories based around several ideas that I thought were interesting. First is my “The Other Side of the Screen” series, which centers on Twilight Zone-like stories that are told through the eyes of modern day people from the gamer generation (of which I am a member). Second is “Tales of Koldesa”, which is a fantasy setting I created around the premise of a normal fantasy world that has actually managed to survive long enough past the medieval era to experience other eras, such as the old west. I have been creating stories and concepts for several years through various mediums (even went to college and got a degree in animation), but after writing up plots for some D&D campaigns I was DMing, I found that writing came easier to me. Being a gamer and a fan of fantasy and RPGs all my life has laid groundwork for a few ideas that I felt weren’t being touched yet. Mostly, I was getting tired of seeing movies and reading stories about people who felt they knew what it was like to be a gamer, and so I wanted to present stories ABOUT gamers BY a gamer.
Schedule wise, I am trying for one short story every two weeks, alternating between Koldesa and OSotS. If I miss a deadline, I will be sure to post the reason why (it better be a good one) and beg for forgiveness.
Well anyway, I hope you give them a read and enjoy. ^^b
